Mikayla Alberico is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and the Assistant Treatment and Outreach Coordinator at the Chrysalis Center. She is dedicated to helping individuals reconnect with themselves and create meaningful, lasting change. She earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and completed her clinical internship at the Chrysalis Center for Counseling and Eating Disorder Treatment. After graduating in 2025, she joined the Chrysalis team as a therapist.
Mikayla brings experience working with clients facing a range of concerns, including disordered eating, body image distress, OCD, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, ADHD and identity exploration within the LGBTQIA+ community. She works with individuals across the lifespan and has a particular passion for supporting adolescents, and young adults.
Mikayla’s approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. She integrates evidence-based practices with a deep respect for each client’s lived experience, fostering a therapeutic space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. Her work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection, curiosity, and compassion.
