Emily Foster is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate who is passionate about supporting adults navigating eating disorders and related mental health concerns. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Iowa State University and her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oklahoma State University.
Emily takes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from person-centered, narrative, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) frameworks. She collaborates closely with each client to explore patterns, deepen self-understanding, and develop more effective coping strategies. Emily believes that meaningful change happens in the context of safety and acceptance—and she works to help clients cultivate that not only in the therapy room, but in their everyday lives. Her style is empathic and relational, grounded in the belief that healing happens when clients feel seen, heard, and supported in making meaningful changes.
In addition to her clinical work, Emily serves as the Treatment Coordinator for Chrysalis Center’s Intensive Outpatient Programs (CCIOP). In this role, she facilitates admissions and provides ongoing administrative support to help clients and families navigate their IOP experience with clarity and ease. For more information about CCIOP, you can contact her directly at emily.foster@chrysaliscenter-nc.com.
