Lauren Francis is a Licensed Psychological Associate and the Clinical Director of Chrysalis Center. She earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University and brings a breadth of experience across outpatient care, intensive outpatient programs (IOP), and university counseling services.
Lauren takes an individualized, client-centered approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and trauma-informed care. Her clinical work is rooted in collaboration, curiosity, and a deep respect for each client’s unique story.
Lauren specializes in the treatment of eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and trauma, and is passionate about helping individuals navigate complex emotional experiences with compassion and clarity. She creates a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients feel empowered to explore, grow, and take meaningful steps toward healing. Believing that therapy is most effective when it’s tailored to the individual, Lauren works closely with clients to develop personalized tools that foster resilience and lasting change.
In her role as Clinical Director, Lauren is committed to cultivating a supportive, inclusive, and growth-oriented environment for both clients and clinicians. She leads with integrity, warmth, and a deep commitment to high-quality, trauma-informed care.
