Aiereal Lloyd, MSN, PMHNP-BC is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 21 years of experience in healthcare, including a deep clinical background in medical-surgical nursing, corrections, community mental health, and inpatient behavioral health. She provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy for adolescents and adults ages 16 and up.

Aiereal earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fayetteville State University and her Master of Science in Nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Across the Lifespan, from Walden University. She has practiced as a PMHNP since 2021, bringing a broad, systems-level perspective shaped by decades of frontline nursing experience. She also holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, which strengthens her ability to understand family dynamics, developmental factors, and the broader context in which mental health concerns arise.

Aiereal specializes in the treatment of PTSD and Complex PTSD, OCD, eating disorders, mood disorders,  in addition to depression and anxiety. She has extensive experience working in community-based settings and acute inpatient psychiatric care, as well as three years of recent training and clinical experience supporting military service members and their families. Aiereal is also certified in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) through Postpartum Support International (PSI), completed May 2023, and brings particular expertise in caring for pregnant and postpartum individuals. Her interest in perinatal mental health is informed by both clinical training and lived experience as a mother and survivor of a perinatal mood disorder.

In addition to medication management, Aiereal provides supportive psychotherapy and is heavily trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with ongoing continuing education through the Beck Institute (2023–present).

Philosophy & Goals for Care: Aiereal believes that effective psychiatric care is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized. Medications are never pushed and are used thoughtfully as one part of a larger treatment plan. She prioritizes shared decision-making, education, and coordination with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the care team. Her goals for clients include creating a space where clients feel heard, respected, and safe, treating the whole person, supporting sustainable improvement through therapy, lifestyle changes, and medication when appropriate, and empowering clients with knowledge and confidence in their care
