Zjanya Wenke is a Doctoral Level Psychology Intern who is fulfilling her practicum experience at Chrysalis Center. She is completing her Master’s thesis, in coordination with the National Consortium on Alcohol and Neurodevelopment in Adolescence (NCANDA), on the relationship between Post-traumatic Stress Disorder symptomology and impulsivity and their joint contributions towards substance use. Zjanya graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Neuropsychology from the University of Cincinnati in 2017 where she began researching the impacts of childhood trauma on neurodevelopment.
At Chrysalis Center, Zjanya facilitates process group for IOP and provides therapy to individual clients. Her clinical interests include body image and eating disorder concerns, trauma, and substance use. Zjanya is supervised by our Executive Director. She has a limited number of spots for clients seeking mental health therapy who cannot afford it.
