Since 2005, Meghan Shapiro has worked in private practice, psychiatric residential treatment facilities, and community based settings. She enjoys treating people who have experienced trauma, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. She also has experience conducting a variety of psychological evaluations and offers pre-operative bariatric surgery assessments. While Meghan’s treatment approach is Humanistic in nature, common treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.  You can expect direct communication, flexibility, and humor during your therapy sessions with her. Meghan treats individuals ages 10 and up. In addition to her clinical work, Meghan serves as the Outreach Coordinator for the practice. She collaborates with other healthcare providers and agencies to foster relationships with Chrysalis in addition to offering educational programs that support community mental health. She received her B.A. from UNCW and her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Appalachian State University.
