Macy graduated from UNCW and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She knows that children and adolescents can be difficult and teaching them valuable skills whether it be how to verbalize big feelings, coping skills, or building healthy and positive relationships with others can be overwhelming. Some children may be having a hard time and struggling with mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. Or your child may have gone through something hurtful and scary that’s affecting them. Macy can help assist your child with these issues and develop positive skills they need to live a happy and healthy life. Macy has had the privilege with working with children and adolescents ages 4 to 18 as well as caregivers and families as a whole. Macy aims to create a nonjudgmental safe place and to meet them where they are to best support and meet their needs. Macy utilizes multiple approaches and interventions to make therapy fun, safe, and rewarding. She incorporate aspects of play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and art therapy.
