Kerri Schroder is a clinical psychologist with over 30 years of experience between private practice, hospital, community mental health, and social services settings. She is adept at treating a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, and adjustment disorders. Her current clinical focus is assisting clients undergoing life transitions such as bariatric surgery, entering college, career changes, divorce, retirement, menopause, and aging. She incorporates several different treatment modalities including psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, DBT, and interpersonal psychotherapy to tailor treatment to an individual’s needs. She also has extensive psychological assessment experience for pre-surgery bariatric evaluations, forensics, and therapy consultations. Dr. Schroder received her BA from University of Florida and her MA and PhD from Kent State University. After receiving her PhD, she did her postdoctoral training at Sagamore Hills Children Psychiatric Hospital, where she continued as the lead psychologist for adolescent girls for five years. In 1990, she moved to northern Michigan and entered private practice until recently relocating to Wilmington.
