Jamee is passionate about helping people with depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and borderline personality disorder. She is warm, compassionate, and client-centered – striving to create an environment where you feel seen, heard, and valued. She believes when we feel this sense of safety, we begin healing from the past, making changes in the present, and moving toward a meaningful future. Jamee meets you where you are in your journey, and together you process what you are feeling and figure out which therapeutic tools help you effectively find peace with your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Jamee specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). It is built on the principle of mindfulness, which helps us be non-judgmental, compassionate, and grounded in the present moment. You explore how to build and maintain meaningful relationships and process barriers to social connectedness. You learn how to manage triggers for unhelpful emotions and thoughts; and develop skills to relax your mind and body in the presence of overwhelming stress. In addition to DBT, Jamee pulls from Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Family Systems (IFS), and exposure therapies to help clients achieve their goals.
Jamee is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate, and holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Social Work. She has experience in a variety of clinical settings where she gained experience working with individuals and groups. When not working, she enjoys watching old movies, exploring new places, listening to psychology podcasts, and spending time with her cat, Barbara.
