Katie Baker is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine where she is developing her skills as a therapist rooted in a psychodynamic and attachment theory.
Katie believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship to act as a catalyst for individual insight, progressive change, and overall mental health wellness. Katie is also a licensed massage therapist and is interested in integrating body-based modalities into her therapeutic sessions such as progressive relaxation and mindfulness techniques. She is currently researching the benefits of yoga for eating disorders in women. Other clinical interests include depression, anxiety, trauma, and sexuality and relationship issues.
