Bella Seip is a practicum student in her third year at UNCW’s Ph.D. in General Clinical Psychology program. She has experience working with a variety of clients in an outpatient clinic setting and intensive outpatient programs. Bella takes a collaborative and client-centered approach in her practice, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to meet each clients’ individual needs. Bella works to create a non-judgmental safe place for all her clients to explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and assists them in making changes that lead to a more fulfilling life. She has interest in working with individuals who are 15 and older with a variety of presentations including depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, neurodivergence, and body image concerns.
Before attending UNCW, Bella earned her B.A. in Neuroscience and Behavior with a minor in Education, Schooling, and Society from the University of Notre Dame. She is currently involved in research that focuses on positive psychology interventions, food gratitude, and the language surrounding identity.
