Ed Cochard is a licensed psychological associate who has provided individual, family, and couples counseling in inpatient psychiatric, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient settings. He has also worked in community mental health and private practice outpatient clinics. He has experience treating both mental health and substance abuse issues with a broad range of clients from adolescents to older adults. His areas of clinical focus include treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, anger management, eating disorders, behavioral disorders, and substance use disorders. Ed utilizes a blend of cognitive behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, reality therapy, and motivational interviewing in his treatment approach. He earned a BS in Psychology and Human Services Counseling from Old Dominion University in 1991. He continued on at Old Dominion University to earn his Master’s degree in Psychology in 1993.
