Leanne Christian is a licensed professional counselor who has experience working in multiple levels of care. She has provided treatment planning and therapy to individuals, families and groups, and worked with children, adolescents, and adults. Her areas of clinical focus include anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress, behavioral problems, inattention, adolescent substance use, and self-destructive habits. Her therapeutic approach draws from evidence-based practices including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. She also uses creative-expressive interventions and hypnotherapy to support her clients’ growth. Leanne earned a BA in Psychology and Elementary Education from Queens University and an MA in Counseling from Lenior Rhyne University. She is certified with the National Guild of Hypnotists and is a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of North Carolina.
