Courtney Gilliam is a registered dietitian with storied experience in the field of nutrition. Her areas of professional expertise include prevention and treatment of chronic diseases with Medical Nutrition Therapy, community outreach and education, nutrition for overall wellness, mindfulness, treating eating disorders, and sports nutrition. Courtney believes that nutrition is about more than the food we eat, so she works individually to help clients examine their relationship with food to achieve their goals. With a specialty in sports nutrition, she has worked with athletes of all levels to build nutritional habits that fuel their bodies and helps them achieve desired performance goals in a healthy, realistic way. She has taught college level sports nutrition courses and presented at the Food and Nutrition Conference & Expo and at the American College Health Association Annual Meeting. Courtney earned a BS in Nutritional Science from the University of Connecticut and completed her MS degree and accredited nutrition internship at West Virginia University. She is board certified as a specialist in sports dietetics by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
